Biography


Arseny Shuplyakov was born in 1982 in Leningrad.

Graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory named after N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov in percussion instruments (class of Sergei Antoshkin), opera and symphony conducting (class of Vladimir Altshuler).

Conductor of the stage brass orchestra and guest conductor of the Mariinsky Theater since 2016.

Collaborates with Academy of Russian Ballet named after Vaganovoy and conducts graduation performances of the Academy on the stage of the Mariinsky Theater.

Musical Director and Chief Conductor of the Concert Brass Band named after V.M. Khalilova from 2023.

Founder of the Renaissance Percussion ensemble (2005). Artistic director of the Renaissance Percussion ensemble.
